Editor's Note, 3 October 2026: New review, from the field notes of our snowboard crews at Whistler Blackcomb.

Ali, one of our pro riders, carved the Lib Tech Dynamiss into Whistler's icy steeps and it bit every time. It asks for strong legs in return. It scores 82 out of 100 and ranks #7 in our best snowboards guide as our best Women's Board for Carving.

Lib Tech Dynamiss

Edge hold9/10
Crud8/10
Powder7.5/10
Park5.5/10
Forgiveness4.5/10

Bottom Line : The best edge hold on ice we rode: serrated edges bite into boilerplate where other boards wash out. It rewards riders who keep it moving.

Pros

  • Bites into icy steeps
  • Powers through tracked-out snow
  • Deep, locked-in carves

Cons

  • Tiring for intermediates late in the day
  • Back leg works harder in powder
  • Too stiff for rails and butters

On the Mountain

Ali found the serrated Magne-Traction edges bit flawlessly into the icy steeps off 7th Heaven.

The Magne-Traction saved my life on the icy patches off 7th Heaven. It bit flawlessly into the slick steeps.

Ali, pro rider

It powered confidently through the tracked-out snow down to the village, and Ali loved it for deep, trenched-out carves. TheGoodRide says it slices through ice, and The Inertia names it the best hard-charging women's board.

Where It Asks Something of You

It takes strong legs. The aggressive camber needs muscle in the chop, and in fresh snow on Symphony, Annie had to work her back leg harder to keep the nose up.

Annie, our intermediate, found it harder going by the end of the day: once her legs were tired it started catching edges, and the stiff camber would not let her skid her turns to recover. TheGoodRide also found it rides stiffer than Lib Tech's own 5 out of 10 rating.

In the park it had decent pop for straight airs, but felt too stiff for casual rails or flat-ground butters.

Spec Sheet vs Our Test

  • Magne-Traction serrated edges: Bit flawlessly into icy steeps
  • C3 camber: Powerful carves; tiring for an intermediate late in the day
  • 1 inch setback: Surfed well in fresh snow, with work from the back leg

Should You Buy the Lib Tech Dynamiss?

Yes, if you carve with intent and ride where it is icy. If you are still progressing, or you want a park board, the CAPiTA Space Metal Fantasy is the friendlier choice. Our crew rode the 149 cm; one evo tester at 5 ft 5 in liked the 153 cm even though it was longer than she usually rides.

Confident women who carve hard and want grip on icy mornings. Ali, one of our pro riders, got the most from it.
