On the Mountain
Tom found the rockered, spoon-shaped 3D nose unsinkable in the deep snow of Symphony Bowl, and the carbon HotRods in the tail gave explosive pop out of every turn.
Our intermediates loved how easily it rolls into a turn. Owners on r/snowboarding describe it as freeride with freestyle DNA, which matches our week.
The sintered base is one of the faster, better wax-holding bases in its class.
Where It Asks Something of You
On the icy morning hardpack our intermediates felt it less settled.
Sintered bases are softer than extruded ones, so expect to look after it, though we found no evidence it scratches more than its rivals.

Should You Buy the Rome Ravine Pro?
Yes, if fresh snow is what you ride for. Rome changed only the graphics for 2027; the big redesign came for 2025/2026, so you are not missing an upgrade. If your mountain is mostly icy groomers, the Arbor El Camino will serve you better.
