Editor's Note, 3 October 2026: New review, from the field notes of our snowboard crews at Whistler Blackcomb.

Amy hiked Spanky's Ladder to Ruby Bowl on the Rome Women's Ravine and called it the most surfy, manoeuvrable women's board she has ridden. It scores 91 out of 100 and ranks #6 in our best snowboards guide as our best Women's Snowboard.

Bottom Line : The most surfy, manoeuvrable women's board Amy has ridden, with a 3D nose that ploughs through heavy snow. Best when it has snowed.

Pros

  • Surfy and manoeuvrable
  • Ploughs through heavy snow
  • Carbon pop in the tail

Cons

  • Chatters on hardpack like the men's
  • Save it for fresh snow

On the Mountain

Amy hiked Spanky's Ladder to Ruby Bowl on this board and called it the most surfy, manoeuvrable women's board she has ever ridden. The 3D nose ploughed effortlessly through heavy snow.

Riders on r/ShredditGirls rate it as a top powder and tree board, scaled properly for women with carbon pop in the tail. It shares the men's Ravine Pro's 3D nose and carbon HotRods, with a softer, medium flex.

Where It Asks Something of You

Like the men's version, it is happiest in fresh snow. Women riders say to leave it in the garage if it has not snowed recently, and the same nose that floats so well chatters on hardpack.

Spec Sheet vs Our Test

  • Directional Diamond 3D nose: Ploughed through heavy snow in Ruby Bowl
  • Medium flex, 6 out of 10 by Rome's scale: Surfy and manoeuvrable for Amy

Should You Buy the Rome Women's Ravine?

Yes, if you chase fresh snow. Rome sells it simply as the Women's Ravine; there is no women's Ravine Pro. On icy weeks, the Lib Tech Dynamiss will grip harder.

Women who ride powder, trees and heavy snow, and save their best board for the days after a storm.
