Editor's Note, 10 October 2026: New review, from the field notes Ryan Williams and John Pulham submitted on 31 August 2026.

In a truck bed and at a tent camp, the Jackery 1000 Plus kept our testers' 12V cooler running for more than two full days, silently. It scores 85 out of 100 and ranks #6 in our best camping generators guide as our best power station for family camping.

  • Capacity: 1,024 Wh LiFePO4, expandable
  • Output: 1,800 W rated
  • Our test: 12V cooler for 2+ days
  • App: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Bottom Line : The simplest, most dependable power station here, with a couple of quirks every family should know.

Pros

  • Dead simple to use
  • Long-life LiFePO4 battery
  • Best-regarded customer service in the category

Cons

  • Buttons can switch the output to 50Hz by accident
  • Solar charging can stay throttled after a cloud

In the Field

Ryan and John ran the Jackery 1000 Plus in an overland truck bed and at a tent camp. It powered a 12V fridge-freezer, a camera charging dock, a CPAP and an electric kettle.

It was silent throughout, and it kept the 12V cooler running for more than two full days on its own.

Our testers rated the LiFePO4 build as sturdy, the smartphone app as responsive, and its solar input as clean and easy to set up. It also takes add-on battery packs for longer trips.

Where It Asks Something of You

Owners report the buttons can switch the output frequency by accident, and that solar charging can stay throttled after a cloud passes. Neither happened in our test, but both are worth knowing.

Spec Sheet vs Our Test

1,024 Wh, expandable to 11 kWh. Jackery sells add-on packs to expand it. On the base battery alone it ran a 12V cooler for more than two days in our test.

1,800 W rated output, 3,600 W surge. It ran an electric kettle as well as the cooler, CPAP and chargers.

Recharge in 1.25 hours from the wall. That is the maker's figure; our testers charged it mostly from solar and found the solar input clean and easy.

App control over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Our testers found the app responsive for checking charge and draw from the tent.

Should You Buy the Jackery 1000 Plus Power Station?

Buy it if you want simple, silent camp power for a 12V fridge, a CPAP and chargers, with room to add batteries later.

Skip it if you need to run big appliances or a home fridge for long: the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max has twice the capacity. We tested the 1000 Plus; the button goes to its current version, the HomePower 1000 Plus v2.
