This was the first metric we tested whilst compiling this Garmin Review. We found the reception quality seamless.
The high-quality GPS chip does its job efficiently.
What this means is, even under dense tree covers, the 401 picked up signals with ease. While trekking to the sacred lakes in Gokyo in Nepal, phone reception was hardly available.
But, we found the 401 connecting steadily with the satellite all through the trail. Awesome!
