On the whole, we feel buyers looking for durability and reliability in all weather will find this a great choice.
It’s ideal for anyone looking for an emergency tent that’s made of firm, durable material and it won’t flap about in the wind like some of our other tube tents did.
That being said, what’s our verdict and what can you expect?
Well for starters this might not be the first choice for claustrophobics
But for anyone looking to keep the heat firmly inside, the LYN’s dual zip door really cuts the mustard.
And while it might not come with bells and whistles like the Delmera and Bearhard tube tents, the LYN will delight when it comes to ruggedness and ease of use.
Many accolades have been heaped on the LYN Tube Tent for reflecting back enough body heat to start a sauna on the inside while rain or snow is falling on the outside – all thanks to its reflective inner wall lining and outer waterproof coating.
What’s the catch?
When anything is reflecting back that much heat in an enclosed area, expect condensation to build up. It might not be ideal for a comfortable sleeping experience, but a little condensation will be the least of your worries in an emergency.

This metric was tested qualitatively. We gathered a pool of testers and gave them a budget to work with. When asked to determine which budget bug out tent met expectations, the LYN Tube Tent came out as a clear winner over most of the competition.

To set up, just run a paracord into the tent along its ridgeline, secure both ends to a tree on opposite ends.

We measured durability through a series of stretch tests, rain tests, wind tests and snowfall tests.
Each test lasted an hour, or until breaking point.
We repeated these tests until the tent could take no more.

By that I mean, at first glance you have an expectation that matches the asking price and it delivers.
You get what you pay for in a great little package.
After several rounds of testing against different metrics, the LYN Tube Tent held its own against other big brand names and more expensive options.
