It’s designed to be set up in 60 seconds (unbelievable right?) and can comfortably sleep 7-9 people.
It also offers a number of additional features and specifications that make it perfectly suited for family camp outs in the spring and summer.

- Why it’s so easy to set up.
- Where it ranks in terms of value compared to other large tents.
- How it adapts to provide privacy for each family on your trips.
- Lots more…
So if you want a large tent that sets up super quickly, you’ll love this Core 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent Review.
Let’s get started…

- Seasons: 3-season

Cons
- A bit snug for 9 adults, also it takes two hands to operate the main door
Our Verdict: Core 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent
While it boasts the space to fit 9 people inside comfortably, we found this tent to be a bit snug for so many people. So if your group’s okay with snug – then 9 it is.
But what we really enjoyed about it is the choice to set up a couple of small camping cots for much more comfortable sleeping.
Even with those cots, we still had plenty of extra room for our gear and space for rainy day activities.
With a center height of 78 inches and a 14’ x 9’ floor plan, we had plenty of space to move about inside.
But perhaps its best feature is the fact that the tent body is permanently attached to the frame and the six main poles are telescoping. These features mean you can set up this tent in just 60 seconds, which is nearly unheard of amongst tents of this size.

Value For Money
It represents great value because it’s so much more affordable than many other large tents.
But even with its lower price…
You won’t need to worry a jot about sacrificing on quality or durability.
Value For Money Rating
It’s made with a 68 denier polyester that has a 600-millimeter hydrostatic head rating.
So the tent and rain fly fabric fall in the medium thickness range, which means they offer solid durability and tear resistance.
The tent’s hydrostatic head rating is actually on the lower end of the scale. So it’s great for light showers or that pesky morning condensation.
But overall…
It’s built to last as a great family tent for many summers to come!
Ease of Setup
Most other tents take a lot more time to set up than this one. It has a few useful features that help you set it up in not much more than 60 seconds.
First…The tent’s frame is permanently attached to the body and pre-assembled.
Ease Of Setup Rating
The six main poles telescope out to their full fixed length and you’ll hear a definite click when that length is reached.
Once you’ve extended the six main poles…
The inner tent structure is in place. It’s a freestanding tent, so you don’t need to worry about stakes to give it structure.
But…
…It does come with stakes for windy conditions, however.
The only thing that’s a little tough about setting this tent up is the rain fly. It can be a bit of a challenge for one person because of the tent’s height, but it’s much easier with a helper or two buddies together.
And it’s not completely necessary if it’s going to be a warm, rain-free night of course.
Overall Comfort
As we mentioned briefly in our verdict, we found that putting 9 people in this tent was a bit of a tight squeeze.
That being said…
It’s cabin-style designation means the interior walls of the tent are nearly vertical.
Overall Comfort Rating
This gives you a lot more space inside and it means that the 14’ x 9’ floor plan results in nearly 126 square feet of space throughout this tent – that’s bigger than my first apartment!
The main advantage CORE 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent for summer is its exceptional ventilation.
It features multiple mesh windows and a mesh ceiling meaning ample airflow on warm evenings.
And it even includes an adjustable ground vent for further air circulation and to keep you cool in the summer.
Weather Resistance
Although it’s rated as a three-season tent…
We’d probably recommend you restrict your use to the warmest summer and early fall months. Part of the reason for that is that the rain fly only really covers the very top of the tent.
Weather Resistance Rating
The quality of that rain fly is great though, and it includes Core’s patented H2O Block Technology.
This tent’s 600-millimeter hydrostatic head rating is lower than that of the most weather-resistant large tents.
So if you’re looking for a true three or four-season tent…
We suggest either the White Duck Outdoors Complete Canvas Tent or the Coleman WeatherMaster 10.
Workmanship
Throughout the time we were setting it up, sleeping in it, and breaking it down, we were super impressed by the workmanship of this tent.
Our two families really loved that the manufacturer included an interior room divider that allowed us to create a privacy screen inside the tent when we wanted it.
Workmanship Rating
We also loved that it has two doors so that our groups could come and go independently of one another.
However…
We did find the doors to be a bit difficult to open and close. They definitely require two hands, so don’t try them when you’re carrying it!
Packed Size
As you might imagine…A tent with a pre-assembled frame is almost always going to have a larger packed size.
The convenience of being able to set this tent up in one minute means you’ll need a little more space for it in the back of your car.
Packed Size Rating
When packed up, it weighs just over 35 pounds and has dimensions of 48” x 11” x 10.5”
But in our opinion…
Conclusion: Core 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent
Time to wrap it up and put a bow on it…
This tent will keep you cool and comfortable on warm summer nights with its excellent ventilation.
It will provide privacy when you need it for two families or groups inside using its included room divider and two independent doors.
It requires barely more than 60 seconds to set up entirely and it breaks down even quicker.
And it’s spacious enough inside for individuals as tall as 6’6” to stand upright without hitting their head.
If you need a large, cabin-style tent for your family’s upcoming summer adventures…
This TopNotch tent should be at the ‘CORE’ of your family camping equipment!
